  • Leaf, flowering tops

USES:

  • Dyspepsia, flatulence, colic
  • Great for children’s diarrhea
  • Colds, flu
  • Fevers
  • Acute bronchitis
  • Antispasmodic with muscle relaxant activity
  • Can help with erectile dysfunction (similar channels to Viagra)
  • Nervine sedative – good for sleep
  • Mosquito repellent (but not as effective as Deet)
  • Antifungal
  • Antibacterial (Gram +)
  • IBS caused by stress

PREPARATION:

  • Tea
  • Tincture

SIDE EFFECTS AND TOXICITY:

  • Do not use in the first two trimesters of pregnancy – uterine stimulant properties

MISCELLANEOUS:

  • Common herbal remedy in the Himalayan regions of India, Pakistan, Nepal, and China
  • Aphrodisiac to felines
